Dr. Michael Marino

Dr. Michael Marino was born in Philadelphia, PA. His family moved to Lynchburg, VA, where he spent the majority of his childhood. After his sophomore year in high school, his family moved to Missouri City, TX, outside of Houston. He attended Wake Forest University and graduated from there in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Math. He graduated from the New England College of Optometry in 1998 with his Doctor of Optometry. While there, he received the NEWENCO award for Outstanding Clinician and the Bausch and Lomb Great Start Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Care.

He started his career at Duplin Eye Associates in Kenansville, NC. He began working with Dr. Patty of Patty Vision Center of Burlington and Yanceyville in September 2000, the month before he and Dr. Scheiner began Family Eye Care of Apex.

Dr. Marino has extensive experience in the treatment and management of ocular disease as well as surgical and LASIK co–management. He specializes in difficult–to–fit contact lens patients and sees primary care patients of all ages.
